Atis Bolgheri DOC Superiore 0.75L

The Atis is the Superiore from Guado al Melo — a Bolgheri that consistently brings the coastal terroir between Livorno and Grosseto into the bottle. Behind the name lies a precise selection: only the estate's best parcels flow into this cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and the regional rarity Rebo.

The soils of Bolgheri are deep and alluvial — they store the heat of the Tuscan coastal sun, while simultaneously offering good drainage and ensuring that the vines grow deep into the ground in a controlled manner. The result is grapes with concentrated fruit and a characteristic mineral vein that runs through the entire wine.

In the glass, the Atis shows dark blackberry and cassis, plus graphite, a hint of dried herbs and a subtle cedar note, as is typical for ripe Cabernet Franc portions from coastal sites. The body is dense and full-bodied, the tannins ripe and well-integrated — no sharp pull, but a velvety structure. The finish is long, with a mineral-salty note in the aftertaste that is reminiscent of the wine-growing region's proximity to the sea.

Best served at 16–18 °C. Pairs with braised beef shoulder, game ragù with pappardelle or a mature Pecorino Toscano. It also effortlessly supports a dinner with grilled porterhouse steak or oven-roasted leg of lamb.
