Antares Chardonnay

An uncomplicated Chardonnay from Chile's Maule Valley – fresh, approachable and versatile.

Santa Carolina is one of Chile's oldest wineries, founded in Santiago in 1875. The Antares line sources its grapes from the Maule Valley , one of the country's oldest wine regions in central Chile. The Chardonnay in this series is aged with light oak contact – unlike most other Antares wines, which are not aged in oak barrels at all.

In the glass, it displays ripe citrus fruit – lime and grapefruit – complemented by a subtle hint of vanilla and smoke from the oak aging. The body is soft, the acidity moderate, the finish short and pleasing.

Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled sea bass, herbed chicken breast, light pasta dishes with cream sauce, or as an aperitif. Ready to drink, no aging potential.

Santa Carolina

Santa Carolina is a Chilean winery founded in 1875 by Luis Pereyra Cotapos. Its main location is in the heart of Santiago, Chile, surrounded by six distinct wine-growing regions: Casablanca Valley, Leyda Valley, Maipo Valley, Cashapoal Valley, Colchagua Valley, and Maule Valley. Due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean and the Andes Mountains, the region experiences diverse climatic conditions, with some regions having relatively cool summers and winters, while others enjoy mild winters and hot summers. Santa Carolina cultivates grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Shiraz in its vineyards.
