Andrea da Ponte Vecchia Grappa Prosecco
Grappa made from Prosecco pomace, matured in French Limousin oak barrels — the result is a distillate with depth and clear origin.
The Andrea Da Ponte distillery in Veneto is one of the most traditional grappa distilleries in Northern Italy. In Trevigiano, the heartland of Prosecco, they work with pomace from the Glera grape — the raw material that gives this grappa its fruity character.
In the glass, it displays a golden-yellow color , a result of barrel aging. The nose is initially reserved: balsamic notes, followed by sultanas and ripe apricot. On the palate, it is initially soft and approachable—only after a while does it develop its true character: fruity, with a long finish of light vanilla and wood notes.
Neat at room temperature, in a slightly curved grappa glass that concentrates the aromas. A good way to end a meal — with biscotti, tiramisu, or simply on its own after a long evening.

The Andrea da Ponte distillery was founded in 1892 in the town of Conegliano in Veneto. Andrea's brother, Mateo, in particular, contributed his expertise in distillation, developing new, gentle distillation methods that subsequently influenced the development of distillation techniques throughout Italy. The distillery focused especially on the processing of Prosecco, and the method they developed is still in use today. Using the De Ponte method, top-quality grappas are still produced from Prosecco pomace. This grappa pomace is the same pomace used to make Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
