Acoustic Montsant DOC
Old vines, young winery: Albert Jané founded Acústic Celler in Montsant in 2005 with a clear vision — no trendy grape varieties, but rather what the region has known for generations. Plot by plot, he sought out vineyards with 60- to 85-year-old vines at altitudes of 300 to 700 meters, in a barren, dry landscape that shapes his wines.
The Acústic Montsant is the result of this philosophy: indigenous grape varieties, old roots, minimal intervention in the cellar. The nose offers dark berries, dried figs, and an earthy undertone—typical of the Montsant's slate soils. On the palate, present yet ripe tannins, a spicy finish with herbal notes. Rated 91 points by Guía Peñín and Stephen Tanzer, gold medal at the Berlin Wine Trophy 2013.
Pairs well with leg of lamb with rosemary, aged Manchego or Ibérico ham. Serving temperature 16–18 °C.
Bodegas Acústic Celler doesn't just sound good – the name says it all. This small winery from Montsant, Spain, operates according to its own unique philosophy: no gimmicks, no technical tricks. Instead, the winemakers let the vines speak for themselves – old Garnacha and Carinyena vines, deeply rooted in barren slate soils.
The result is wines with genuine character: powerful, but never loud. Spicy, vibrant, with a depth that lingers in the memory. Like a good guitar chord – simple, yet perfectly placed.
