They are secured by dry stone walls up to 4 meters high, which provide shelter for lizards, snakes, and fire salamanders. The 20-30 year old vines were propagated through mass selection. The wine reveals smoky, mineral cherry fruit and subtle nutty oak spice, accompanied by aromas of cloves and white pepper. A pleasant acidity and tannin structure, as well as a long finish, round off the taste experience. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels with 35% new oak.
