A Rosato Toscana IGT
The A Rosato Toscana IGT from Fattoria Aldobrandesca is no ordinary rosé – it carries history within it. The "A" in its name connects two important Tuscan families: the Antinori and the Aldobrandeschi, who once ruled the hills and vineyards of southern Tuscany. A wine with roots.
In the glass, it presents itself with everything that characterizes the Aleatico grape: delicate rose notes intertwined with vibrant aromas of red berries – raspberry, strawberry, a hint of pomegranate. The palate follows the nose's promise: elegant, balanced, with a beautiful, lingering finish that sets it apart from the mass of light-bodied summer rosés.
This wine pairs perfectly with:
- Grilled vegetables and light antipasti
- Seafood and fish dishes from the oven
- Goat cheese and mild soft cheeses
- As an aperitif on warm evenings – just because
Drink it well chilled, between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius, from a slender white wine glass that concentrates its delicate aromas. A rosé that proves elegance isn't a matter of color.
In the heart of the Etruscan Maremma – where millennia-old tuff cities like Sovana perch atop volcanic rocks – lies Fattoria Aldobrandesca. The Antinori family winery bears the name of the powerful Aldobrandeschi family, who shaped this region in the Middle Ages. History that you can literally taste here.
On 250 hectares of mineral-rich, volcanic soils grows what makes this landscape so special: the rare Aleatico grape, one of Italy's oldest – and, surprisingly, Malbec , which has found perhaps its most fascinating European terroir here. Two worlds, one exceptional address.
