Caracciolo –
Calabria in almond shape, since 1965
On the Ionian coast of Calabria, in Brancaleone , Giovanni Caracciolo and Caterina Laganà opened their small laboratory in 1965. What began as a small-scale operation supplying ice cream parlors and pastry shops – almond paste, almond drinks, nut spreads, and truffle nuts – is today a family heritage that embodies the flavor of an entire region.
Under the name Amandula, a product line was created that consistently avoids artificial flavorings. Instead, it uses carefully selected raw materials, undergoes strict food safety controls, and employs a craftsmanship that highlights the natural qualities of almonds. The result is spreads and pastes with genuine depth – nutty, aromatic, and with the unmistakable character of Calabrian ingredients.
Anyone who tries Caracciolo's products on bread, in pastries, or as an accompaniment to a dessert wine understands why this workshop has existed for almost six decades.
