Biscottificio Deseo
Biscottificio Deseo –
Tuscan baking craftsmanship from Prato
Biscottificio Deseo was founded in 2001 by Francesco Pandolfini in Prato – a Tuscan city renowned for its baking tradition for centuries. What began as a small workshop is now one of the most prestigious sources for authentic Tuscan biscotti: handmade, without palm oil, without artificial preservatives, and with non-GMO ingredients.
The centerpiece of the range is the Cantuccini Toscani IGP – crisp almond biscuits whose recipe and origin are protected by a geographical indication. Pandolfini remains true to the classic method: double baking, coarsely chopped almonds, and a fat-free dough. The result is a biscuit with a firm texture and nutty depth, ideally suited to Vin Santo, a dry Moscato, or a strong espresso.
Besides the classics, Deseo also develops unusual flavor combinations – such as biscotti with rosemary, pecorino, or dark chocolate. This line demonstrates that traditional craftsmanship and curious experimentation are not mutually exclusive. Anyone who wants to bring Tuscan baking culture to their table will find both at Deseo: the familiar and the surprising.
