Yuzu

Yuzu by Mathieu Teisseire is a fruit syrup based on the Japanese citrus fruit Yuzu – aromatic somewhere between grapefruit, mandarin orange and lime, with a floral note that European citrus fruits cannot achieve.

Mathieu Teisseire is one of France's oldest syrup manufacturers (founded in Grenoble in 1720) and stands for pure fruit flavors without artificial additives. Their yuzu syrup is ideal as a base for non-alcoholic drinks, adds a distinctive citrus edge to cocktails, and pairs perfectly with gin, sake aperitifs, and light rum.

• Served directly over crushed ice with soda water as a Yuzu Spritz.
• As a mixer for Gin and Tonic instead of tonic – it revitalizes floral gin styles (e.g. with elderflower botanicals)
• A few milliliters in a glass of dry champagne or crémant for a citrusy fresh note.
