XXI Vin de France

A white wine with a history: The XXI Vin de France was created from an exceptional year – severe frost decimated the harvest, and Didier Dagueneau responded with a cuvée that was bottled outside the classic appellation but bears the unmistakable fingerprint of the house.

Domaine Didier Dagueneau in Pouilly-sur-Loire is one of the most influential wineries in the Loire Valley. Didier Dagueneau, who passed away in 2008 and was once known as the "wild man of the Loire," established a style that redefined Sauvignon Blanc: Burgundian in style, with extended lees aging, and far removed from mere aromatic appeal. Today, his children continue to run the winery in the same spirit.

In the glass, the XXI displays a clear, vibrant structure: notes of white peach and citrus peel, along with a delicate vegetal line and a mineral undertone reminiscent of flint. The texture is dense, the acidity is pronounced, and the finish is long and saline.
