Wiston Brut Rosé Brut Vintage

Wiston Brut Rosé Brut Vintage
An English sparkling wine that shows what the chalk soils of the South Downs can achieve: deep orange-colored rosé made from Pinot Noir, expressive and at the same time precisely structured.
Wiston Estate is located in West Sussex on the same chalk layers that stretch under the English Channel into Champagne. The winery produces classic Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wines that have attracted international attention — not as a champagne imitation, but as an independent style.
In the glass, the wine glows in a deep orange-pink. On the nose, sour cherry, blood orange, and a hint of wild roses, underneath a subtle note of clove. On the palate, rose petals, red fruits, and a fresh, taut acidity follow, which carries the wine. In the finish, brioche and a touch of marzipan are added — finely integrated, not dominant.
Pairs with salmon tartare, roasted duck breast, or a strawberry dessert with little sweetness. Drinking temperature: 8–10 °C.
