This Vermouth Torino from Cucielo is a dry, fresh vermouth from Italy. The name refers to the style from Turin, the cradle of modern vermouth: aromatized wine, characterized by herbs and fine bitterness.

In the glass, fresh Sicilian citrus fruits are in the foreground. Added to this are elderflower and cardamom, carried by a light herbal bitterness that never dominates. The finish is long and mineral, the structure remains dry and clear.

Serve it well-chilled neat on ice with an orange zest or lengthen it with tonic and a sprig of rosemary for a light aperitif. In a Negroni or Americano, its dry citrus side brings more freshness to the glass than sweeter vermouths. It pairs well with olives, salted almonds, or a young Pecorino. The 0.5-liter bottle is handy enough for the home bar.
