Van Hunks Brut Rosé Cap Classique

Van Hunks Brut Rosé Cap Classique
A South African sparkling wine with real character: The Van Hunks Brut Rosé is created using the Méthode Cap Classique — the South African equivalent of traditional bottle fermentation — and brings together the lively fruitiness of Stellenbosch with the structure of a traditional production method.
Stellenbosch is considered the heart of South African viticulture: a Mediterranean climate, cool sea breezes from the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, and diverse soils create conditions that allow for both freshness and ripeness. Van Hunks — named after the legendary Cape Town pirate who taught the devil how to smoke a pipe — stands for accessible, honest wines from this region.
In the glass, the Chardonnay-based rosé shows aromas of fresh strawberry and raspberry, complemented by a delicate floral note. On the palate, it is fresh and dry, the perlage is fine and even, and the finish is clean and fruit-forward without being heavy.
Well chilled to 6–8 °C as an aperitif, with light appetizers featuring salmon or goat cheese, or simply on its own — uncomplicated yet with a genuine origin in the glass.
