An Irish pot still whiskey that combines leather and tobacco with dark fruit: The Busker Small Batch Pot Still No. 2 comes from the Royal Oak Distillery. It is bottled in small batches and is not chill-filtered, so that the texture and aromas arrive in the glass unfiltered.

The Royal Oak Distillery relies on the Irish pot still tradition for The Busker. Distillation in the pot still stands for full-bodied, often creamy distillates in Ireland. The label refers to a double maturation ("Double Aged"), which gives the whiskey additional depth.

In the glass, leather and tobacco appear, along with plum and fig. The body feels round, the finish is long. It tastes best neat at room temperature, preferably with a few drops of water. It also works well on a large ice cube or in an Old Fashioned. Classically, it fits as a digestif after a meal, for example with dark chocolate.
