The Busker Single Grain 0.7L

The Busker Single Grain is an Irish grain whiskey with a soft, sweet profile: grain instead of smoke, caramel instead of peat. It is aimed at anyone coming from bourbon or mild blends who is looking for an accessible entry into Irish whiskey.

The Royal Oak Distillery lets it mature in hand-selected bourbon barrels from the USA. In addition, there is a rare Marsala cask from the Sicilian winery Cantine Florio, founded in 1833. In the glass, it appears light and straw-colored.

On the palate, it begins with sweet caramel, followed by soft vanilla, oak, and a hint of hay. The finish is long, dry, and leaves behind a fine sweetness.

Recommendation: neat or over a large ice cube if you want to explore the sweetness at your leisure. As a highball with ginger ale and lemon zest, it becomes light and fresh. In an Old Fashioned, it brings caramel and vanilla as a base.
