Tartufi dolci al torrone, sacchetto

Small dark chocolate balls with torrone pieces inside—an Italian combination of honey, almonds, and hazelnuts encased in dark chocolate. Biting into the filling produces a short crack, followed by the nutty, honey-sweet flavor of the torrone. Approximately 14 pieces in a cellophane bag.

These truffles pair best with wine alongside more robust styles: a Vin Santo from Tuscany, a mature Amarone, or a sweet Passito di Pantelleria complement the honey and nutty aromas perfectly. A dry espresso also provides a classic contrast. Ideal as a finale to an evening or as a small gift to bring to a wine tasting.
