Stefano Accordini Valpolicella Classico DOC

A classic Valpolicella that shows what the original zone in the heart of the vineyards west of Verona can do: light-footed, aromatic and with true regional personality.

The Stefano Accordini winery is one of the most reliable producers in Valpolicella Classico – a family that has been cultivating Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes for generations on the hills around Fumane in the Negrar Valley. The Classico zone is not a marketing term, but the historical core area with older vines and a cooler microclimate than the extended vineyard areas.

In the glass, a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose opens with fresh sour cherry, dark forest berries, and a hint of dried herbs – typical of Corvina-dominated blends. On the palate, light but not thin: lively acidity carries the wine, the tannins remain soft, and the finish has a pleasant spicy note with a hint of cinnamon and pepper.

Serving temperature 16–17 °C. Ready to drink now.
It goes well with pasta al ragù, grilled sausage, risotto with mushrooms or Taleggio cheese. It's also an easy accompaniment to wood-fired pizza.

Stefano Accordini

Stefano Accordini embodies what makes Valpolicella so special: depth, character, and a family history that stretches back to the early 20th century. It was then that Gaetano Accordini began making wine as a tenant farmer – today, his descendant runs the winery in picturesque Fumane with the same respect for the land.

In the heart of classic Valpolicella, wines are produced here that you will immediately recognize: a Ripasso with a velvety smoothness, an Amarone of impressive density and elegance – and recently also certified organic wines that show how sustainable great winemaking can be.
