Sori Tildin Barbaresco DOP 1.5L

Sorì Tildìn is one of the most famous Barbaresco wines from Piedmont: single-varietal Nebbiolo, powerful and at the same time finely drawn. This magnum (1.5 l) comes from the Gaja winery and bears the 2022 vintage.

The single vineyard is located above the Costa Russi and is oriented towards the south to southwest; the vines receive maximum sun there. 2022 was hot and dry, only May brought rain, followed by further precipitation in August, and from mid-September, cooler nights provided balance. The result is ripe fruit with surprising freshness. The wine matured for 24 months in wood.

On the nose, it smells of sandalwood, cinnamon, violets, and ripe red fruits, above all strawberry. On the palate, it is dry, with great fullness, elegant texture, and supple, enveloping tannins. Pairs with braised beef, tajarin with white truffle, or long-aged hard cheese. Serve it at 16 to 18 °C and decant it beforehand. The magnum is a strong appearance for a large table or a special gift.
