Serre dei Roveri Barbaresco DOCG

Barbaresco from Piedmont is one of the great addresses for Nebbiolo — and this Serre dei Roveri shows why the grape variety fascinates so many wine lovers: juicy, lively, with a structure that carries the wine without making it heavy.

Behind the Serre dei Roveri line is the Sartirano winemaking family, whose history dates back to 1871. Giovanni Sartirano laid the foundation for commercial wine trading in Piedmont back then. Today, Paolo and Guido Sartirano continue in the fourth generation what their great-grandfather began — with the clear goal of making the classic wine types of Piedmont accessible to a wider audience. The Barbaresco is a central building block of this idea.

In the glass, the Nebbiolo shows aromas of cherry and red currant, plus rose petals and a spicy licorice echo in the finish. The palate benefits from a pleasant juiciness and a well-integrated tannin structure — not an edgy Nebbiolo, but an accessible, balanced Barbaresco with a long finale.
