Sergioveto Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 0.75L

Sergioveto Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 0.75L
The Sergioveto is the Riserva from Rocca delle Macìe, dedicated to the founder of the winery: Sergio Zingarelli bought the estate in the heart of Chianti Classico in 1973 and thus laid the foundation for one of the most famous addresses between Florence and Siena. Today, the family manages around 500 hectares, of which over 120 hectares are vines — exclusively in the DOCG zone.
In the glass, the Sangiovese shows its classic side: blackberry and sour cherry, plus dried herbs, a hint of tobacco, and leather notes that are typical for mature Riserva wines from this zone. The body is powerful, the tannins firm but not angular — the finish long and spicy with a touch of bitter chocolate.
For food, it pairs with Bistecca alla Fiorentina, braised lamb shoulder with rosemary, or aged Pecorino Toscano. It also makes a good companion to game pâtés or wild boar ragù. Drinking temperature: 17–18 °C — best opened an hour beforehand so that the bouquet can unfold.
