Santa Cristina Vermentino Toscana IGT

Vermentino from Tuscany is one of Italy's most underrated white wines—fresh, aromatic, and with a salty minerality that leaves you wanting more. Santa Cristina, the Antinori family's winery, has been making this grape variety accessible to a wider audience for decades without sacrificing character.

The Antinori family has been synonymous with Tuscan winemaking for over 600 years. Santa Cristina is their entry-level label—consistently focused on drinking pleasure, vinified with the technical expertise of one of Italy's largest wineries. The Vermentino grapes grow in the Toscana IGT region, where the Mediterranean climate allows the variety to reach its full potential without sacrificing its natural freshness.

In the glass, it displays aromas of jasmine blossom, melon, and a hint of citrus peel. The palate is light, with lively acidity and a dry, slightly salty finish—typical of Vermentino from warmer, coastal areas.

Serving temperature: 8–10 °C. Drink now, no aging required. Pairs well with grilled fish, seafood, light pasta dishes with herbs, or as a simple aperitif on warm evenings.

Santa Cristina

Santa Cristina, founded in 1946, is a respected winery in the picturesque region of Tuscany, Italy. With a long tradition in viticulture, Santa Cristina has earned an outstanding reputation through the continuous combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques.

The winery is known for its ability to combine classic Tuscan wines with a contemporary flair. The vineyards of Santa Cristina extend over the best locations in Tuscany, where the Mediterranean climate and unique soil conditions offer ideal conditions for the cultivation of first-class grapes.

Grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah thrive here, forming the basis for the exquisite wines of Santa Cristina. At Santa Cristina, quality is the top priority.

Winemaking begins with the careful selection of the best grapes, which are subjected to gentle pressing. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks preserves the freshness and fruitiness of the wines. This is followed by aging in oak barrels, which gives the wines additional complexity and depth. Santa Cristina combines traditional viticulture practices with innovative techniques to produce wines that reflect both the essence of the Tuscan wine tradition and modern taste preferences. The commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly methods is also an essential part of the winery's philosophy.
