Sancerre Rosé La Poussie AC

A dry rosé from the Loire that shows Pinot Noir from its bright, taut side: The Sancerre Rosé La Poussie from Domaine de la Poussie stands for clear lines rather than opulence.

The grapes grow in the Sancerrois, where calcareous soils give the wines a distinctly mineral structure. Many know Sancerre primarily as a Sauvignon Blanc appellation, but Pinot Noir has a long tradition here and produces rosés with pull and precision.

In the glass, the wine glows pink with a salmon-colored shimmer. On the nose, strawberry and raspberry appear, along with floral hints and a fine, spicy freshness. On the palate, the precise acidity carries the wine, the texture remains fine, and the mineral note provides depth and balance. The fruit lingers for a long time.
