Sancerre Blanc La Poussie AC 0.75L
Sancerre is the benchmark terroir for Sauvignon Blanc — and La Poussie is one of the addresses that justifies this reputation year after year. The winery is located in the heart of the appellation, on the typical Kimmeridgian limestone and flint soils (Silex), which give the wine its characteristic mineral tension.
In the glass, the Sancerre Blanc shows a greenish-yellow color with vibrant reflections. On the nose, gooseberry, white grapefruit, and a hint of freshly cut herbs — typical for Sauvignon Blanc on Silex subsoil. On the palate, the connection between taut acidity and salty minerality, so characteristic of Sancerre, with a long finish and a slight flinty tone.
Served at 10–12 °C, it unfolds its full potential. At the table, it pairs with goat cheese from the Loire (Crottin de Chavignol is the classic pairing), oysters, grilled sea bass, or a Salade Niçoise. It also makes a good impression as an aperitif with some olives and baguette.
