Saintes Pierres de Nalys rouge AOP Châteauneuf-du-Pape 0.75L

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of the most famous appellations of the southern Rhône — and Château de Nalys is one of the oldest estates in the region, today under the umbrella of E. Guigal. The Saintes Pierres — the holy stones — refer to the characteristic galets roulés, the large round pebbles that store the heat of the day and release it to the vines at night. This microclimate shapes the wine directly.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red. The Cinsault brings an elegance unusual for Châteauneuf-du-Pape: less pressure than Grenache-dominated cuvées, but fresh red fruit — cherry, raspberry — and delicate herbal spice from the garrigue-influenced environment. The finish is soft, with well-integrated tannins and a pleasantly dry length.

Served at 16–17 °C, it pairs with rack of lamb with herb crust, grilled merguez, or a ripe goat cheese from Provence. It also cuts a fine figure as an uncomplicated accompaniment to a Provençal dinner.
