Saint-Véran is located in the southern Mâconnais, right on the border to Pouilly-Fuissé — and delivers Chardonnay with similar substance but its own character. Domaine Régnard is one of Burgundy's established négociant houses, known for carefully crafted selection from the best plots of the respective appellation.

A clear golden yellow appears in the glass. On the nose, peach blossom, ripe white pear, and a hint of acacia honey, underneath a fine almond note that gives the wine depth. On the palate, dry and taut, with lively acidity and a medium body — typical for the limestone-influenced subsoil of the appellation. The finish is persistent, slightly mineral.

Good with fried trout with caper butter, a ripe Brillat-Savarin, or pasta with mushroom cream sauce. Drinking temperature: 10–12 °C.
