Ruggeri Prosecco Superiore Brut »Ladaltempo« 0.75L

The Ladaltempo from Ruggeri shows what Prosecco Superiore from the heart of Valdobbiadene can do: not a light sparkling water, but a structured sparkling wine with real character.

Ruggeri is one of the traditional houses in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG — a hilly landscape in the Veneto that has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2019. The Glera vines grow on steep terraces that promote slow ripening and pronounced aromatics. Ladaltempo is the Venetian word for "good weather" — an indication of the importance of the climate for this wine.

Straw yellow in the glass with greenish reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. In the nose, peach and apricot, complemented by dried figs, almonds, jasmine, and chamomile — an unusual depth for a Prosecco. Soft and at the same time fresh on the palate, with a structure that goes beyond the usual. The finish is dry and aromatic.

Serve well chilled at 6–8 °C. Pairs with antipasti with raw ham and melon, with risotto with seafood, or as an accompaniment to light finger food. Also convincing as a standalone aperitif.
