Rose Water Gin 0.5L

A gin where the rose plays the lead role without becoming intrusive: The Rose Water Gin from Wilderer comes from the Western Cape in South Africa and frames the floral character with juniper and spices.

The distillery distills fresh rose petals together with juniper, cinnamon, cardamom, and other botanicals, the composition of which they keep to themselves. The goal is the aroma of Turkish Delight, the oriental rose confection.

In the glass, there is a balanced, subtle rose taste in front of a multi-layered background: juniper provides the classic gin base, while cinnamon and cardamom add warm spice. The bottle holds 0.5 liters.

Recommendation: Mix it as a Gin & Tonic with a rather simple tonic so the rose retains space, and add a lemon zest or a cucumber slice. It also pairs well chilled neat or topped up with sparkling wine as an aperitif.
