In addition to the obligatory juniper berries, this gin is primarily characterized by rhodiola rosea, which grows on the jagged, sea-battered rocks. Even the Vikings harvested this plant to gain extra strength and live to be "200 years old." The roots of the Rhodiola rosea give the gin a delicate, fresh rose aroma and give it its name: Rock Rose.
