RHU mezcla tinta
The RHU mezcla tinta from Chile doesn't do things by halves: Syrah from the Chilean Andean foothills, where cool nights and intense sunshine provide structure and depth. Even the name — mezcla tinta, red blend — hints at a wine that prioritizes character over mere pleasingness.
On the nose, floral notes of violets and wild herbs mingle with blackberry and sloe. On the palate, dried meat and black olive emerge; the tannins are firm and present, the acidity provides structure without harshness. The finish is long and spicy. If opened now, decanting is recommended—at least 30 minutes. Waiting three to five years should reward you with greater integration and complexity.
Serving temperature 16–18 °C. At the table, it goes particularly well with braised lamb, grilled chorizo, a strong Manchego cheese, or a beef stew with paprika.
