Réserve Weisser Burgunder dry QW Baden 0.75L
A Pinot Blanc that bears the signature of its place of origin: structured, clear, with the warmth of the Kaiserstuhl in the background. Weingut Freiherr von Gleichenstein is one of the oldest businesses in Baden — the history of the house dates back to the 16th century, and the vineyards around Oberrotweil are among the warmest and most mineral-rich in the region.
The grapes are selectively hand-picked and gently pressed using the whole-bunch pressing method, and the must is sedimented overnight. The result is a wine with a fine texture: aromas of white peach, pear, and a hint of almond, plus a lively acidity that carries the body without dominating. The finish is long, slightly spicy, with a mineral pull.
You should best serve it at 10–12 °C — with zander with herb butter, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or a mature goat cheese. It also cuts a fine figure as a companion to Asian dishes with clear broth.
