Reserve Ried Kronberg Weinviertel DAC Reserve 0.75L

From over 40-year-old vines on limestone-rich soil in the Weinviertel: The Reserve Ried Kronberg from the Setzer winery shows what Grüner Veltliner can achieve from a single site — depth, tension, and clear origin in the glass.

The Weinviertel, Austria's largest wine-growing region north of the Danube, is known for its continental temperature fluctuations and limestone-rich soils, which give the Grüner Veltliner its characteristic spice and minerality. Weingut Setzer is one of the reliable addresses in the region and vinifies the Ried Kronberg as a Reserve — meaning with the ambition to get the best out of this site.

In the glass, the wine presents itself dry and precise: white pepper, the typical spice marker for the grape variety, plus light citrus fruit and a fine, chalk-influenced minerality on the finish. The old vines ensure concentrated aromas and a texture that goes beyond the everyday — taut acidity, but without sharpness.

Pairs well with Wiener Schnitzel, grilled zander, or a strong mountain cheese. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.
