Reserve Meritage - Estate Grown

A Bordeaux blend from California that demonstrates what estate-grown cultivation means: The grapes come exclusively from the winery's own vineyards — full control over training, harvest time and ripening, which is clearly noticeable in the glass.

As a Meritage blend, this wine follows American guidelines for Bordeaux-style blends, with Cabernet Sauvignon as its supporting structure. Aging in barriques explains the creamy texture and subtle vanilla notes that run throughout the wine without overpowering the fruit.

The nose offers blackberry jam, cassis, and kola nut, along with a hint of mint and white pepper. On the palate, concentrated, ripe berry fruit with vanilla in the background; the blackberry flavor lingers through to the soft, balanced finish. The tannins are ripe and rounded—enough structure for a fine meal without any resistance.

Pairs well with ribeye steak, braised lamb shoulder, or aged cheddar. Serving temperature: 17–18 °C. Ready to drink now, but will keep for several years without any problems.
