Réserve Grauer Burgunder dry QW Baden 0.75L

The Réserve Grauer Burgunder from the Freiherr von Gleichenstein winery shows what Baden can do with Grauburgunder: body, ripeness, and an aroma profile that goes far beyond light everyday wines.

The Freiherr von Gleichenstein winery is one of the traditional addresses on the Kaiserstuhl — one of the warmest wine regions in Germany, characterized by volcanic weathering soil and a climate that allows Pinot grape varieties to ripen particularly well. You can taste this origin.

In the glass, a clear, light yellow appears. On the nose, hazelnut and yellow apple dominate, plus pear and a hint of white peach. On the palate, the wine appears full-bodied with well-integrated acidity that gives the body freshness without dominating it. The finish is long and slightly spicy.

Pairs well with veal schnitzel with cream sauce, pasta with truffle butter, or a mature mountain cheese. Drinking temperature: 10–12 °C.
