Pommard 1er cru Les Argillières AC Premier Cru 0.75L

Pommard Premier Cru from the Les Argillières site — this is Burgundian Pinot Noir with the unmistakable weight and depth for which the appellation is known. Domaine Jean Monnier & Fils has been farming its plots in the Côte de Beaune for generations and stands for carefully crafted vinification in the classic Burgundy style.

Les Argillières is located in the northeast of Pommard, on clay-rich soils that give the wine its typical structure: dark fruit, firm tannins, an earthy depth. In the glass, aromas of blackberry, sour cherry, and violets appear, underscored by a hint of undergrowth and fine spice. The palate is dense, with well-integrated tannins and a long, spicy finish — characteristic of the best sites of this appellation.

It is best to serve this Pommard at 16–18 °C, ideally after a short decanting time. It pairs well with game dishes such as leg of venison or saddle of wild boar, duck breast with red cabbage, or an aged Époisses de Bourgogne.
