Pinot Noir Geisberg dry QW Pfalz 0.75L

The Pinot Noir Geisberg from Wageck Pfaffmann shows what the Palatinate can do with Pinot Noir: a red wine with a clear structure that combines elegance and substance without becoming heavy.

The Wageck Pfaffmann winery is one of the reliable addresses in the Palatinate and cultivates sites known for their mineral character. The Geisberg stands for limestone soils that give the Pinot Noir a cool, earthy depth – typical for the finer expressions of this grape variety in the region.

In the glass, it shows a medium-deep ruby tone. The nose opens with sour cherry and red forest berries, plus a hint of violets and some earth. On the palate, fine, ripe tannins, a lively acidity, and a mineral-influenced finish that makes the origin from the limestone soil palpable.

Served at 16–17 °C, it accompanies roast duck, rack of lamb with a herb crust, or a mature goat cheese. It also cuts a fine figure with mushroom dishes – porcini risotto or stuffed mushrooms.
