The Pinot Grigio from Collio shows what distinguishes this northeastern Italian border region from other growing areas: depth and texture instead of pale lightness. Livon, one of the leading family addresses in Friuli, sources the grapes from vines that grow on the characteristic ponca — an alternation of marl and clay that gives the wines a mineral backbone.

In the glass, it shows a straw-yellow color with slight ash-gray reflections, typical for the grape variety. On the nose, pear, white peach, and a hint of almond, underpinned by a fine mineral note. On the palate, dry and taut, with lively acidity and a clean, medium-length finish.
