Pierre André Meursault 0.75L

Meursault is one of the most resonant names in Burgundy — a village in the Côte de Beaune that gives Chardonnay a richness and depth that is hard to find elsewhere. The Pierre André from the house of François Martenot shows why this is the case: not a loud, opulent style, but a wine with attitude and Burgundian restraint.

On the nose, it opens with candied lemon and a hint of fresh herbs, before brioche and a light breadiness are added — signs of a mature, well-integrated Chardonnay. On the palate follows the classic Meursault texture: creamy, with noticeable weight, but without heaviness. Marzipan and hazelnut characterize the mid-palate, while the finish remains mineral and crisp — a tension that carries the wine longer than expected. The acidity is present but integrated; it gives the wine contour without dominating.

François Martenot is an established négociant house from Beaune with a long tradition in dealing with Burgundian appellations. The Pierre André brand stands for accessible, varietal expressions of the great Côte de Beaune sites — solid craftsmanship, without extravagances.

Served at 12–14 °C, it unfolds its full aroma profile. At the table, it cuts a fine figure with sweetbreads, lobster with beurre blanc, zander on leek vegetables, or a ripe Comté. Those who want to drink it as an aperitif should serve it with some Parmesan or a slice of good ham — that works.
