The Perlato del Bosco from Tua Rita shows what Vermentino can achieve in Tuscany: a white wine with clear structure, lively acidity, and Mediterranean character — not a background companion, but a wine with its own presence.

Tua Rita is one of the most famous estates in the Maremma, the wild coastal strip in the southwest of Tuscany. The winery was founded in 1984 by Rita Tua and her husband Virgilio Bisti and is now one of Italy's most renowned addresses. The focus is on artisanal precision — both with the international reds for which Tua Rita became famous, and with this white wine from the autochthonous Vermentino grape variety.

In the glass, the Perlato del Bosco shows aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and a hint of herbs — thyme and fennel, as they grow in the Tuscan macchia. The palate is fresh, medium-weight, with a salty minerality on the finish that is typical for Vermentino from near the coast.

Serve it at 10–12 °C with grilled sea bass, pasta with clams, or a light goat cheese. It also makes a good impression as an aperitif on a warm evening.
