Orbis Natural Wine red wine from Austria

The Orbis Natural Wine is a dry red wine made from Blauburger, bottled unfiltered and with minimal added sulfur. It is aimed at anyone looking for an unadorned, lively red wine that does without frills.

The Rudolf Fidesser winery is located in the Weinviertel in Austria and works biodynamically. The Orbis is created without fining, and the vinification remains deliberately restrained. This preserves the character of its origin in the glass.

The glass reveals a deep purple. Dark berries dominate the nose: ripe blackberry and sour cherry. On the palate, the wine feels taut and fresh; the tannin is fine and provides structure without holding it back. Straightforward and drinkable, with an accessible character and clear tension between fruit and freshness.

Serve it slightly chilled at 14 to 16 °C. It pairs well with antipasti, cold cuts and hard cheese, grilled sausages or roasted vegetables, and it works just as well on warm summer evenings as it does as an uncomplicated companion to a shared meal.
