Nuits Saint Georges Les Procès AC Premier Cru 0.75L

A Premier Cru from the northern tip of the Côte de Nuits — Les Procès lies at the transition to Prémeaux-Prissey and is one of the more delicate sites of Nuits-Saint-Georges: less flesh than the great monopoles, but more finesse and mineral precision.

Maison Joseph Drouhin, founded in Beaune in 1880, is one of the most reliable Négociant-Éleveurs in Burgundy. The family has been cultivating its plots according to biodynamic principles for decades and is known for a style that places elegance above extraction — an approach that suits this site well.

In the glass, it shows deep garnet red with a violet rim. The nose opens with cherry jelly and fresh raspberry, behind which are cedar wood, a hint of balsamic, and fine earth. On the palate, medium body, silky tannins, lively acidity — the finish remains long and spicy with a light minerality that is typical of the soils of this site.

Served at 16–17 °C, it pairs well with saddle of wild boar, entrecôte with herb butter, Coq au Vin, or a mature Époisses.
