Neipperger Schlossberg Riesling *** GG QW Württemberg - Grand Cru 0.75L

The Schlossberg in Neipperg is one of the few VDP.GROSSEN LAGEN in Württemberg that produce Riesling at this level. The Graf Neipperg winery has been cultivating this steep slope site for generations and vinifies the Riesling consistently dry — the Großes Gewächs is the pinnacle of this work.

In the glass, the Schlossberg Riesling shows the typical minerality of the site: citrus zest, white blossoms, and a hint of herb meadow, underneath a taut, lively acidity structure. The finish is long, salty, and precise — not a gram of residual sugar disturbs the line.

Best served at 10–12 °C: with zander or char from regional waters, with white asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or with a strong hard cheese like mountain cheese. Those who drink it pure get a clear impression of what distinguishes the Große Lage Schlossberg from an ordinary Württemberg Riesling.
