When Bodegas Martin Codax was founded in 1986, it was named after the most famous medieval Galician troubadour, Martin Codax. His rhymes preserved the oldest form of the Galician-Portuguese language, accompanied by original music. In his verses, he sings of love, including the love of the sea. Since its founding, Bodegas Martin Codax has developed significantly, always supporting the people, the land, and the culture. Efforts are made to raise awareness of Galician culture in over 40 countries. The project, which began as a dream of a few winemakers, is now a reality and has led to Bodegas Martin Codax becoming a symbol of Galician winemaking both at home and abroad!
