Macon Villages blanc AC 0.75L

A Mâcon-Villages from the house of Drouhin — that means Burgundian Chardonnay without detours: clear, fresh, with the typical weight of southern Burgundy. Those who know the great sites of the Côte d'Or will find the same approach here with a lighter step.

Joseph Drouhin is one of the most famous négociant houses in Burgundy, based in Beaune since 1880. The house's Mâconnais wines come from the southernmost tip of Burgundy, where the climate is warmer and the soils are rich in lime — ideal conditions for Chardonnay with substance and freshness at the same time.

In the glass, the wine shows aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and a hint of hawthorn. The palate is medium-weight, the acidity lively without sharpness, the finish clean and mineral. An uncomplicated but characterful white wine.

Good with crayfish, grilled zander, goat cheese, or a simple poulet rôti. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.
