Mâcon-Bussières Les Clos AC 0.75L
A Mâcon-Bussières that shows what Burgundy south of Beaune is capable of: clear expression of the grape variety, dry style, uncomplicated in the best sense of the word.
Joseph Drouhin is one of the most famous négociant houses of the Côte d'Or, based in Beaune since 1880 and present in the Mâconnais for decades. The house stands for careful winemaking and consistent quality control throughout the entire Burgundy appellation hierarchy — from Régional to Grand Cru. The Mâcon-Bussières Les Clos comes from a specifically defined site near Bussières, a small village west of Mâcon, where the Chardonnay grows on calcareous subsoil.
In the glass, it shows the typical style of southern Burgundy: light straw yellow, aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and fresh herbs, plus a lively acidity that enlivens the palate. The finish is clean and mineral, without heaviness.
Served well-chilled at 10–12 °C, it pairs with goat cheese, grilled sea bass, mussels in white wine broth, or a simple Quiche Lorraine.
