M.Altenburger Jungsberg Chardonnay

M.Altenburger Jungsberg Chardonnay
A Chardonnay from Burgenland that shows what organic viticulture and the Pannonian climate can achieve together: ripe fruit with a clear line, no woodiness, no puffiness.
Markus Altenburger cultivates his vineyards in Burgenland biodynamically and focuses on minimal intervention in the cellar. The Jungenberg vineyard is one of the estate's most distinctive sites—warm, deep, with the typical influence of Lake Neusiedl, which ensures balanced ripening.
In the glass, the 2023 vintage displays aromas of mango, lime zest, and white meadow flowers—along with a hint of fresh herbs that adds freshness to the tropical fruit. On the palate, it is powerful yet vibrant, with an acidity that supports the wine and lengthens the finish.
