Les Baies de Gremoursy-Côtes du Rhône Villages AOP

Les Baies de Gremoursy-Côtes du Rhône Villages AOP
A Côtes du Rhône Villages that does not hide the power of the south: Mourvèdre from the southern Rhône Valley, vinified by Domaine de l'Olivier under the name Les Baies de Gremoursy.
Mourvèdre is the grape variety that demands patience — in the vineyard as in the glass. It needs heat, stone, and time to show its depth. On the nose, black currant and cloves, underneath a dark, almost meaty note. On the palate, juicy plum, a hint of licorice, subtle roasted aromas, and a spicy line that carries into the long finish. The tannins are present but with a silky texture — not an edgy wine, but one with backbone and mellowness.
Pairs with lamb from the oven, braised beef shoulder, or a hearty goat cheese from Provence. Drinking temperature: 16–18 °C — feel free to take it out of the cellar an hour before opening.
