L'Ermitage Brut Rosé - Roederer Estate Californian Quality Sparkling Wine 0.75L

The L'Ermitage Brut Rosé from Roederer Estate is the house's prestige cuvée — produced using traditional bottle fermentation in the cool Anderson Valley, one of the few wine-growing regions in California that is climatically reminiscent of Burgundy.

Roederer Estate is the Californian subsidiary of the Champagne house Louis Roederer from Reims. The estate has been cultivating vines in Mendocino County since 1982, with a clear focus on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from its own vineyards. The Anderson Valley is located far inland but is cooled daily by Pacific fog — the result is grapes with high natural acidity and a long ripening period, the foundation for structured sparkling wines.

In the glass, the L'Ermitage Brut Rosé shows a delicate salmon pink. On the nose, strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of white peach, underpinned by a fine brioche note from the bottle fermentation. On the palate, lively acidity, creamy perlage, and a dry, long-lasting finish with delicate citrus notes.

Best served at 8–10 °C — as an aperitif, with salmon tartare, grilled scallops, or a mild goat cheese.
