Le Volte dell'Ornellaia Toscana Rosso IGT 1.5L

Le Volte dell'Ornellaia is the most accessible wine from the Ornellaia estate: a dry Tuscan Rosso that combines structure and juicy fruit. The magnum with 1.5 liters makes it the wine for a large table.

Ornellaia is located in Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast and is one of Italy's most famous wineries. For Le Volte, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot come together, the characteristic grape varieties of the house. It is aged in used barriques and tanks, keeping tannins and fruit in balance.

The wine glows purple in the glass. On the nose, cherry, wild strawberry, and a fine note of menthol appear. On the palate, it is clearly structured, the fruit is juicy, and freshness and power are in balance. The tannins are well-integrated, and the finish carries aromatic depth.

Recommendation: With pasta with wild boar ragù, grilled beef steak, or aged Pecorino. Serve it at 16 to 18 °C, preferably decanted half an hour beforehand for the magnum.
