Le Petit Cheval Blanc blanc AOP Bordeaux blanc 0.75L

The Le Petit Cheval Blanc is the white wine from the house of Château Cheval Blanc — one of the great names of the Right Bank — and shows what happens when the precision of a Premier Grand Cru Classé meets Sauvignon Blanc.

Château Cheval Blanc is located in Saint-Émilion on the border with Pomerol, has been biodynamically farmed since 2012, and is one of the few estates that sets the highest standards for both red and white wines. The Le Petit Cheval Blanc is the house's white wine interpretation: a cuvée of 71% Sauvignon Blanc and 29% Sémillon, vinified with the same care as its big brother in red.

In the glass, it shows bright gold. On the nose, white grapefruit, lemon verbena, and a hint of beeswax — the Sémillon component provides depth and a slightly oily texture that grounds the Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, lively acidity, medium body, long mineral finish.

Serve it at 10–12 °C with grilled turbot, goat cheese, or a bouillabaisse. It also cuts a fine figure as a standalone aperitif with some aged Comté.
