Königschaffhausen-Kiechlinsbergen Königschaffhauser Vulkanfelsen Spätburgunder Rosé
A dry Pinot Noir rosé from the Kaiserstuhl — one of the warmest wine regions in Germany, characterized by volcanic weathered soil and over 1,800 hours of sunshine per year.
The Königschaffhausen-Kiechlinsbergen winegrowers' cooperative has been cultivating the vineyards around the extinct volcanic cone of the Kaiserstuhl for decades. The volcanic rock is one of the cooperative's key vineyard sites: deep, weathered soil made of basalt and loess, which gives the vines minerality and structure.
In the glass, the wine shines a bright salmon pink. The nose reveals aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of white peach—typical of Pinot Noir rosés from warmer climates. Lively on the palate, with fresh acidity and a clean, short finish.
- Temperature: 8–10 °C
- Goes well with: goat cheese salad, grilled salmon trout, tomato bruschetta or light summer dishes
